Owen looking forward to Aachen match and NBA All-Star Game
欧文盼望与亚琛的比赛，期待ＮＡＢ全明星赛

Owen has recovered from flu. On Wednesday he was already back at Säbener Strasse to do some jogging and on Thursday he returned to full training with his team-mates.

Coach Ottmar Hitzfeld is currently preparing his side to face Alemannia Aachen on Saturday at the Tivoli. Owen is eager to play his second game of the year, after recovering from flu. And Bayern are looking to win their second game of the year against the relegation-threatened Bundesliga new boys.

“We have already dropped too many points this season. With a winning streak we can try to make up ground,” said Owen, who’s happy to play again after his broken fibula. But this weekend he is not only looking forward to the game against Aachen.

Because on Sunday the NBA All-Star Game takes place in Las Vegas with the best NBA players from the Western and Eastern Conference playing against each other. “I’m sure it’s going to be an exiting game with a lot of slam dunks and other cool moves,” believes Owen, who knows a thing or two about basketball: “This game is usually not as competitive as the games in the league, there’s more action and an opportunity for the players to showcase their skills.”

Owen thinks he knows who’s going to win the 56th All-Star Game. “I think that the Western Conference will win it this year. Overall they have more quality and that’s why they will come out on top.” Kobe Bryant and Yao Ming are only two of the stars representing the Western Conference, coming off the bench are players the likes of Steve Nash and Dirk Nowitzki. But not only the game promises to be a great show, the whole weekend is full of action.

“I’m also excited about the Three-Point Shootout or the Slam Dunk Contest. Particularly in the Dunk Contest you can see how tall the lads are and how high they can jump. These are unbelievable athletes,” said Owen. He will watch the event at home on TV, but his dream is too see an All-Star Game live one day.
